What EOs help with hot flashes?
Clary Sage, Bergamot, and Ylang Ylang
Clary Sage is great for almost any female issues requiring hormone regulation. We mentioned this oil last week with Jasmine as an oil that’s great for stimulating the birthing process. Clary sage affects the hormones of the body because it contains natural phytoestrogens, which are referred to as “dietary estrogens” that are derived from plants and not within the endocrine system. These phytoestrogens give clary sage the ability to cause estrogenic effects. It regulates estrogen levels and ensures the long-term health of the uterus — reducing the chances of uterine and ovarian cancer.
Bergamot is supportive of the regulation of your endocrine system. Which is what’s ultimately responsible for all of the hormone production in your body. It helps it send the signals to all the other glands to produce the correct levels of hormones. It also helps to combat the hormone driven mood swings we encounter.
Ylang Ylang is also great for hormones. It has the great ability to help balance your body’s female and male hormones. Progesterone, Estrogen and Testosterone.
All of these oils can be taken together in a gel cap or topically rubbed across the abdomen every day.
What EOs help with Acne?
Melaluca, either Roman Chamomile or German Chamomile, Patchouli, and Palmarosa
Melaluca is a healing oil. It’s antibacterial and antiviral. It will draw out the gunk within your skin and cause it to heal faster. Always use a carrier oil with it. And you can use it as a spot treatment, as well. Interesting way to apply it, 6 drops in a water bottle and spritz the face multiple times a day.
Adding German/Roman Chamomile with Melaluca will help soothe the redness and irritation.
Pathchouli will help draw out the gunk and any toxins in your pores.
Palmarosa will help with speeding up the skin regeneration process. Plus, Palmarosa smells like sweet tea. Bonus!
Will Ylang Ylang help with ulcers?
No. But one drop of Cinnamon oil mixed with a quart of water and sipped throughout the day will help with Peptic ulcers. Those are ulcers where ever acid is present.
Frankincense and Geranium are excellent for gastric (stomach) ulcers and duodenal (ulcer in the upper small intestine) ulcers. Take a drop of each in almond or rice milk and drink every day or take 3 drop each in a gel-cap every day.
What EOs will help with heartburn?
Peppermint, Fennel and Ginger
Peppermint will almost instantly stop heartburn and sooth bloating. It’s my personal favorite. But go easy because it does make your digestive track pepperminty. Have you ever noticed that most digestive aids have a certain level of mintiness to them? Peppermint is why. Take a few drops in a gel-cap.
Fennel will help if the heartburn is due to a sluggish digestive track. It will help stimulate the movement of the digestive wall and move things along. Take it in a gel-cap, as well or use it topically across the abdomen.
And Ginger is a stomach acid soother. Have you ever eaten something and you can actually hear your stomach churning and gurgling? Well in the event that it’s uncomfortable and builds up gas, take Ginger in a gel-cap and it will calm the acid production in the lining of the stomach to calm digestion down.
What EOs help with joints health?
Copaiba internally will change your life when it comes to inflammation.
Wintergreen topically will help to soothe and calm the inflamed nerves, as well. My favorite pain blend is equal parts Peppermint, Wintergreen, Lavender, Copaiba, and Rosemary with a carrier oil rubbed on location. It will numb the area and calm down the inflammation and nerves.
